My approach is trauma-informed and draws from a range of therapeutic methods, including person-centred therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, psychodrama and somatic approaches. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all model, I adapt therapy to the individual and what they are hoping to achieve.
I work with adults experiencing the effects of trauma, PTSD and complex trauma, as well as anxiety, depression, anger, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem and challenges with emotional regulation. Therapy may include understanding trauma responses, developing practical strategies for managing difficult emotions and triggers, improving sleep and wellbeing, strengthening relationships and boundaries, and rebuilding confidence and connection.
I believe counselling should be a partnership. You remain in control of what you choose to talk about, and we can focus not only on what has happened in the past, but also on helping you build the life and relationships you want moving forward.
